Time for more food. I went through all my photo's and some of these go way back. What fun food memories!
Cherry got chocolate from Costa Coffee (tastes like Black
Forrest cake!). I drank it with my parents when they visited me in Leeds. I
warned them not to order a large cup, but they did not listen and got this hot
chocolate in the size of a bowl of soup.
At the hard Rock Café in Prague. But we had such a big starter we could not finish it. That was pretty sad.
During our road trip through Belgium, France and Italy we
ended up in a little Chinese restaurant somewhere in the south of France. We
ordered some stuff at random because my French was even worse than then it is
now. I only started taking pictures when the dessert arrived so it must have
been a good meal.
This was in the time I was obsessed with bubble tea. I was
visiting my friend Sophie in Nancy and she specially found a place selling it
for me. And they even had coconut flavor, yum!
Another bubble tea, this time in Eindhoven. The bubble tea
bar was already shut down the last time I went there so I guess it was not a
great success there. Shame! Now I have to find a new place to get my B.T. when
I’m in the Netherlands.
This was the menu of a restaurant in turkey. As you can see,
they can really use some help with their English. We thought it would be funny
to ask what exactly “panute sauce’ was. That poor waiter had no clue.
An Italian lunch restaurant in Eindhoven. They had
sandwiches with carpaccio, really nice!
All you can eat spareribs in Brussels. All they cook here are spareribs and jacket
potatoes and they were just walking around with plates full of them to see who
wanted more. No vegetarians here.
This pizza restaurant in Pescara had some very original
pizza flavors. Pizzas with pear, with chocolate, with honey, with mascarpone
and much more. We ordered several different ones so we could try a bit of all. Pretty
epic. Especially that one with chocolate.
Lovely tapas restaurant in Tilburg. You can order four
rounds of five tapas each so it’s technically not all you can eat, but in
reality that is more than you can eat. The dates filled with goats cheese
wrapped in chorizo are one of my favorites!
This waffle like object tastes better than in looks. Because
it’s filled with Nutalla! I ate it in Paris but I think it’s a French chain.
This cake-ish thing swimming in vanilla sauce is a typical German snack. It’s some kind of ball of fluffy steamed dough topped with sauce and things like fruit or chocolate sprinkles. I ate it for the first time at the Weihnachtsmarkt in Trier and I secretly love it (although it’s pretty weird).
Still more foodies to come!
